The West End revival of Se谩n O鈥機asey's Juno and the Paycock officially opens October 3 following previews that began September 21 at the Gielgud Theatre. Performances are currently scheduled through November 23.
Directed by Tony and Olivier winner Matthew Warchus (God of Carnage, Matilda the Musical), the cast is led by three-time Tony winner Mark Rylance (Boeing-Boeing, Jerusalem, Twelfth Night) and Tony nominee J. Smith-Cameron (Our Country's Good, Succession).

The limited engagement also features Paul Hilton as "Joxer" Daly, Aisling Kearns as Mary Boyle, Eimhin Fitzgerald Doherty as Johnny Boyle, Ingrid Craigie as Mrs. Tancred, Anna Healy as Mrs. Maisie Madigan, Chris Walley as Charles Bentham, Se谩n Duggan as "Needle" Nugent, Leo Hanna as Jerry Devine, Jessica Cervi, Caolan McCarthy, Bryan Moriarty, John Rice, and Jacinta Whyte.
Set in 1922 Dublin as the Irish Civil War is tearing the nation apart, Juno and the Paycock follows Juno Boyle鈥攁 beleaguered matriarch struggling to make ends meet and keep the family together鈥攁nd her husband, "Captain" Jack Boyle, who fancies himself a ship's commander but sails no further than the pub. When providence comes knocking with life-changing news, could the family鈥檚 troubles finally fade away?
Warchus said in an earlier statement, 鈥淚 have long been in love with this staggeringly great melodrama鈥攁 play which collides an Irish working-class domestic tragedy with some of the comedic bravura of the 1920s Music Hall in an unforgettable indictment of the chaos of civil war. I鈥檓 very excited to be embarking on my seventh collaboration with Mark Rylance, and my first with the brilliant American actress J. Smith-Cameron, on the 100-year anniversary production of this internationally acclaimed, strikingly relevant, Irish classic.鈥�
The production also has set and costume design by Rob Howell, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone, music by composer Claire van Kampen, sound design by Simon Baker, and casting by Serena Hill.
