The reviews are in for Julian Fellowes鈥� latest period project, The Gilded Age. The series debuts January 24 on HBO and HBO Max, featuring a cast that collectively has 20 Tony Awards, including Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, and Donna Murphy.

The nine-part limited series follows Marian Brook, played by Louisa Jacobson, the daughter of a Southern general who, upon being orphaned, moves to New York City to live with her aunts Agnes and Ada, played by Baranski and Nixon, respectively. Their lives are upended when a new power couple, Bertha and George Russell (Carrie Coon and Morgan Spector) enters the scene.
