For the fourth year running, Tony nominee Norm Lewis will return to Feinstein鈥檚/54 Below for his holiday residency鈥攂ut this time he brings tunes from his newly released The Norm Lewis Christmas Album.
鈥淚鈥檝e always had a fantasy desire to do a Christmas album,鈥� says Lewis. 鈥淐hristmas has always been my favorite time of year and I wanted something to mark that.鈥�
Before beginning his week of concerts at the famed Midtown cabaret venues (December 17鈥�22), Lewis visited the 半岛体育 studios to sing an unconventional Christmas melody: 鈥淢y Favorite Things鈥� from The Sound of Music.
鈥淔or me, I knew it from Sound of Music but what really stuck in my mind mostly was one of the first albums I could remember was The Supremes and they had that song on there, it was their Christmas album,鈥� he says. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 one reason I put it in my show, it鈥檚 giving homage to that album.鈥�
