Seeking LA-based Actors and an Assistant. Director/Stage Manager for TUFF (10 minute play) as part of Conundrum Theatre Company鈥檚 New Works Festival in Burbank, CA!

Note: This is an unpaid opportunity, but actors will receive light meals and snacks (in addition to show photography and video).
Logline: Two Black fraternity brothers reunite on a day of mourning and begin to unpack the emotional toll of masculinity and the social pressures placed on Black men.
Rehearsal period:
July 2-July 12 (12-16 hours total). 3-4 rehearsals total prior to tech. Rehearsals will take place at the First Christian Church in Burbank, CA.
Tech Dates:
Sunday, July 13 during the day, or Wednesday, July 16 or Thursday, July 17 in the evening - exact date TBD
Performance Dates:
Friday, July 18 at 7pm; Sunday, July 20 at 2pm; Saturday, July 26 at 7pm
Tech & performances will take place at Big Victory Theatre in Burbank.
Character Breakdown:
KYLE COACH DUNHAM, late 30s-40s, Black. A tough coach grieving the loss of his son.
GARY 鈥楪OOSE鈥� CRUZ, late 30s-40s, Black/Afro-Latino. A distant friend and former frat brother. A no BS kinda guy.
We will be casting two understudies who will go on for one guaranteed performance.
We are also seeking an Assitant Director/Stage Manager.
Duties for this role will include scheduling, keeping time/taking photos for social media during the rehearsal process, running understudy rehearsals, and assisting with design. Technical theatre experience preferred but not required. Production is interested in hearing from individuals from all backgrounds, but especially directors/stage managers from the Black community.
