Salary:

Min. $650/wk
Travel, housing, and per-diem will be provided.

Actors must be eligible to work in the US and Canada and have a current passport by the first day of rehearsal.

Seeking:
[FEMALE IDENT. ENSEMBLE/IKETTES] early 20s-40s, Black. Looking for excellent dancers/singers with strong acting skills to play an 'Ikette', as well as other featured ensemble tracks. The ensemble will cover roles such as Tina, Young Alline, Alline, Zelma, and Gran Georgeanna.

[MALE IDENT. ENSEMBLE] mid 20s-40s. Looking for excellent singer/actors with strong dance skills for principal and featured ensemble roles.

The holding room, Studio 412, will be open as early as 9:00 AM for anyone who wants to warm up. Otherwise, please arrive no later than 9:45 AM to be checked in for a 10:00 AM start. If you do not check in by 9:45 AM, you may forfeit your spot to a walk-in. Please plan accordingly—we all know how the subways can be on a Monday morning.

**Walk-ins will be added to groups if space allows—unofficial lists will not be accepted. To be considered, please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the dance call. A monitor will take your information, and you’ll be added to a group if space is available or if there are no-shows.**

We are not accepting virtual submissions at this time. Please keep an eye on our social media and Breakdown Express/Actors Access for any updates. We kindly ask that you do not email about virtual submissions.

What to Prepare:

This is a dance call for Ikettes and all male identifying characters only. We are only considering performers for these roles at this call.

Everyone will dance first; some may be asked to sing afterward.

- Wear comfortable shoes to dance in. Ikettes, wear character heels.

- Bring a brief cut of a song that showcases your voice in the style of the show (yes, you can sing from the show).

- An accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music in the correct key, with your cut clearly marked.

- Bring a hard copy of your headshot and resume, stapled together.

- Must be 18 & up to audition.

Please note: If invited to a callback, the creative team will need to see everyone in person in NYC the week of 6/2.
