Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's 1971 musical about a host of former Weismann stars who reunite for one last look across the footlights is back on Broadway. In a crumbling theatre, the spotlights exposes old wounds of former Follies stars ( as Sally and as Phyllis) and their husbands ( as Ben and as Buddy), who find that the past is still alive in the shadows.
