The acclaimed, site-specific theatrical presentation of the 1954 film musical A Star Is Born, which features as Esther Blodgett (played by Judy Garland on screen), will return to Feinstein鈥檚/54 Below January 18 at 9:30 PM.
The encore performance promises a 鈥渞ecently-rediscovered鈥� and song, 鈥淚鈥檓 Off the Down Beat,鈥� written for the original film, but never used.
The musical event premiered July 12 at Feinstein鈥檚/54 Below.
It has musical staging by Ben Cameron and staging by Pope.
Including such songs as 鈥淭he Man That Got Away,鈥� 鈥淕otta Have Me Go With You鈥� and the 鈥淏orn In a Trunk Medley,鈥� the event is billed as 鈥渁 thrilling re-examination of the music, the showmanship and the heartbreak of A Star Is Born.鈥�
A Star Is Born has music direction by Brian Nash and choreography by Sidney Erik.
