News Alfie Boe Departs Broadway's Les Mis茅rables; Neverland Is Next Boe, who plays Jean Valjean, has his next Broadway outing already scheduled.

Alfie Boe plays his final performance as Jean Valjean in the Broadway production of Les Mis茅rables Feb. 28.

Boe, who also appeared in the Les Mis茅rables 25th Anniversary Concert at London's O2 Arena, began his Broadway run at the Imperial Theatre September 1, 2015. John Owen-Jones, recently seen as The Phantom in Cameron Mackintosh's London production of The Phantom of the Opera, has played Valjean both on Broadway (in 2007) and in London and will succeed Boe in the role beginning March 1 for the duration of the show's Broadway run through September 4.

Boe will step into the role of J.M. Barrie in the new musical Finding Neverland beginning March 29 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Boe will succeed Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck, who will play his final performance as J.M. Barrie, the writer whose relationship with a widow and her four sons inspired him to write Peter Pan,聽March 27.

's new production of and Claude-Michel Sch枚nberg's Les Mis茅rables opened on Broadway March 23, 2014, at The Imperial Theatre. Les Miz is written by Boublil and Sch枚nberg and is based on the novel by . It has music by Sch枚nberg, lyrics by and original French text by Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, original adaption by and and additional material by James Fenton. The original orchestrations are by John Cameron with new orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke, Stephen Metcalfe and Stephen Brooker.

The new production is directed by and James Powell, with set and image design by Matt Kinley inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, costumes by and Christine Rowland, lighting by , sound by Mick Potter and projections realized by Fifty-Nine Productions. Musical staging is by Michael Ashcroft and Geoffrey Garratt. Musical supervision is by Stephen Brooker, and musical direction is by James Lowe.
