Wil Wheaton portrays Orson Welles alongside fellow "Star Trek" alumni Walter Koenig (Lt. Chekhov on the original 鈥淪tar Trek鈥 series), Michael Dorn (鈥淪tar Trek: TNG鈥), Ren茅 Auberjonois and Armin Shimerman (鈥淪tar Trek: Deep Space Nine鈥), Tim Russ (鈥淪tar Trek: Voyager鈥) and Linda Park ("Star Trek: Enterprise"). Also appearing are Emmy nominee Jason Ritter (鈥淧arenthood鈥 & 鈥淭he Event鈥) and Dean Haglund (鈥淭he X-Files鈥) with a special pre-recorded cameo appearance by comic book legend Stan Lee.

Produced by Sci-Fest LA and directed by Jim Fall, the reading is a fundraiser for Sci-Fest LA: The Los Angeles Science Fiction One-Act Play Festival.

The idea for the fundraiser came from Sci-Fest LA co-producer, actor David Dean Bottrell, who said in an earlier statement, "Even after 76 years, the original script for War of the Worlds is still chilling and beautifully written. We are tremendously honored to have such an extraordinary company of actors performing it live on stage. And as a lifelong 鈥楽tar Trek鈥 fan, I鈥檓 speechless. This is going to be an amazing night for Sci-Fi fans!"

Following the performance, audience members can attend a post-show party and bid on seven exclusive War of the Worlds posters designed specifically for this event.
