It was also announced that Scribner will star as Jerry Mulligan in the U.S. national tour of An American in Paris launching this fall. He will tour opposite Sara Esty, the current alternate in the female leading role of Lise Dassin. Additional casting for the tour will be announced soon.
Scribner made his Broadway debut in An American in Paris, capping a distinguished ballet career that has included stints as a soloist with the San Francisco Ballet and artist of Nederlands Dans Theater I. He has created and performed leading roles in works by Jiri Kylian, Lightfoot/Leon, Alexander Ekman, Marco Goecke, (director of An American in Paris), William Forsythe, , John Neumeier, and others.
In the pop world, Scribner has appeared with , Les Twins, Santana, Michelle Branch and Jennifer Lopez. He earned a diploma from the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts and graduated with honors in May 2011 from St. Mary's College. He is a co-founder of Dance For a Reason (). Replacing Scribner as the Jerry Mulligan alternate starting March 15 in An American in Paris will be Dimitri Kleioris of the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Kleioris is appearing with the permission of Actors鈥� Equity Association pursuant to an exchange program between American Equity and the MEAA.
