Christy Altomare, star of Broadway鈥檚 Anastasia, is engaged.
The title player of the musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty posted a photo of her and her now-fianc茅 Peter Browning on her Instagram. The two were engaged December 17 while on a trip to South Carolina.
Altomare made her Broadway debut as a replacement Sophie in Mamma Mia!. She originated the role of Anya/Anastasia in the out-of-town tryout of the Broadway musical before bringing it to the Broadhurst Theatre. She earned a Drama Desk nomination and a Theatre World Award for her performance. Browning is a firefighter.
