Lilla Crawford, who played the title role in the 2012 Broadway revival of Annie and Little Red Riding Hood in the 2014 film adaptation of Into the Woods, jumps to the small screen August 21 with the premiere of the animated Nickelodeon series Sunny Day, in which she lends her voice to the lead character.
Aimed at preschoolers, the show bows at 10 AM ET/PT on Nickelodeon, and will also be seen on Treehouse TV starting at a date to be announced this fall. The show is based on Abie Longstaff鈥檚 children鈥檚 book series The Fairytale Hairdresser, illustrated by Lauren Beard.
Among other Broadway names lending their voices to the project are Kevin Duda, who played Neil Sedaka in Beautiful, and Melissa van der Schyff, who was featured in Bonnie and Clyde and the revival of Big River.
