The Rage: Carrie 2, An Unauthorized Musical Parody in Concert, featuring Molly Ranson and other cast members from the 2012 Off-Broadway production of Carrie, will be held October 28 at 11:30 PM at Feinstein鈥檚/54 Below.
Ranson, who starred as the title character in the 2012 production, will be joined by other Carrie cast member F. Michael Haynie (Peter Pan Live, Wicked) as well as Jenny Rose Baker (Fiddler on the Roof), Lauren Nicole Chapman (Kinky Boots), Shakina Nayfack (Difficult People), Philip Jackson Smith (Mozart in the Jungle), Travis Kent (Disaste!), Tina Stafford (Once national tour), Luke Hoback, Jessica Kahkoska, Rachel King and Thea Lammers.
Based on the sequel to the 1976 horror classic Carrie, The Rage: Carrie 2, according to press notes, 鈥�follows Carrie White鈥檚 half-sister, Rachel, as she, too, struggles to deal with a clinically insane mother, sadistic high school students, and her newfound telekinesis that鈥檚 on the verge of destroying them all.鈥�
The musical features an original pop-rock score by Rebekah M. Allen (We Are The Tigers, Remission), direction by Michael Bello and music direction by Patrick Sulken.
