Broadway News Cast Set for Broadway Premiere of Ain't Too Proud鈥擳he Life and Times of the Temptations Performances begin in February 2019 at the Imperial.

Casting is complete for the Broadway premiere of Ain鈥檛 Too Proud 鈥� The Life and Times of The Temptations, which will begin previews at the Imperial Theatre February 28, 2019, prior to an official opening March 21.

Leading the cast as The Temptations will be Derrick Baskin as Otis Williams, James Harkness as Paul Williams, Jawan M. Jackson as Melvin Franklin, Jeremy Pope as Eddie Kendricks, and Ephraim Sykes as David Ruffin. The Broadway cast will also feature Esther Antoine, Saint Aubyn, Shawn Bowers, E. Clayton Cornelious, Rodney Earl Jackson Jr., Taylor Symone Jackson, Jahi Kearse, Jarvis B. Manning Jr., Joshua Morgan, Rashidra Scott, Nasia Thomas, Christian Thompson, Curtis Wiley, and Candice Marie Woods.

A pre-sale for American Express Card Members is now live. Audience Rewards members will have access to tickets beginning November 15; tickets go on sale to the general public beginning November 19.


Ain鈥檛 Too Proud is currently playing Toronto鈥檚 Princess of Wales Theatre through November 17.

Ain't Too Proud follows The Temptations鈥� journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The musical features the group鈥檚 hits, including 鈥淢y Girl,鈥� 鈥淛ust My Imagination,鈥� 鈥淕et Ready,鈥� 鈥淧apa Was a Rolling Stone,鈥� and more.

With a book by Kennedy Prize-winning playwright Dominique Morisseau, Ain鈥檛 Too Proud is directed by two-time Tony winner Des McAnuff with choreography by Olivier Award winner Sergio Trujillo.
