Cheers Live on Stage, a comedy adapted from the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning classic hit TV series, will play Chicago鈥檚 Broadway Playhouse in September, according to the .
The long-running Cheers was ranked one of TV Guide鈥檚 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time, airing for 11 seasons between 1982 and 1993. The popular series was set in an iconic Boston neighborhood bar. According to The Road Company, the stage show revives the regular characters of Carla, Coach, Cliff, Norm, Sam 鈥淢ayday鈥� Malone and Diane 鈥淏uzzkill鈥� Chambers.
The touring show is licensed by CBS and produced by Stageworks Media and Troika Entertainment. Casting has yet to be announced. Performances are scheduled to run from September 20-October 23.
