News Cry-Baby Original Cast Reunion Concerts Presented Tonight Cry-Baby, the 2008 Broadway musical that managed only 68 performances despite a high-power creative team, is getting a long-delayed original cast album � and an original cast reunion concert.

Most of the original cast are part of the reunion concerts 9:30 and 11:30 PM Sept. 17 at 54 Below cabaret in New York. Set to reprise their Broadway roles are , , Chester Gregory, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , and .

Broadway Records has recorded the album and plans to release it at a date to be announced.

Like , to which it was compared at the time, Cry-Baby is based on a movie of the same name by . Cry-Baby features a score by (Act of God) and (the rock band Fountains of Wayne). It has a book by Mark O’Donnell (Hairspray) and (). Despite its short run, the show was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Produced by Shoshana Feinstein, the concert features musical direction by Henry Aronson.
