MTC's staging of Ripcord, helmed by Tony and Emmy winner , will begin previews Sept. 29 and is scheduled to officially open Oct. 20 at New York City Center 鈥� Stage I. Lindsay-Abaire is the award-winning author of , Fuddy Meers and . His newest comedy, Ripcord, is described as both "inappropriate" and "hilarious," as it follows two elderly women in a no-holds-barred battle of the wills - to the death.
"A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Assisted Living Facility," begins a press statement for the show. "So when the cantankerous Abby (Taylor) is forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn (Burke), she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary.
