Performances begin March 14 for the world premiere of Abby Rosebrock鈥檚 Dido of Idaho at Ensemble Studio Theatre. The new comedy follows a hard-drinking musicologist, who, after a heartache and hitting rock bottom, attempts to reconnect with her estranged, evangelical mother.
Mikhaela Mahony (Noise of the Future) directs a cast made up of Layla Khosh (Bull in a China Shop), Dalia Davi (T铆a Julia y el Escribidor), Rosebrock, Curran Connor (Kentucky), and Dawn McGee (Cora & Dave Are Getting Older).
Dido of Idaho will officially open March 22, and is scheduled to play through April 8 in EST's mainstage theatre.
The production features set design by Angelica Borrero (Taming of the Shrew), lighting design by Christina Watanabe (Daniel鈥檚 Husband), costume design by Audrey Nauman (Mope), and sound design by Almeda Beynon (Lou).
