News Encores! Paint Your Wagon Will Get a Cast Album Jack Viertel, artistic director of the New York City Center Encores! series, told a talk-back audience Saturday afternoon that the current revival of Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon will be recorded and released as a cast album.

Tony Award nominee and co-star in the New York City Center Encores! staging of the 1951 Lerner and Loewe musical Paint Your Wagon, which is presented March 18-22.

Directed by (Beautiful) and choreographed by (Honeymoon in Vegas), Paint Your Wagon features music by and book and lyrics by .

Rob Berman is music director. Carradine (The Will Rogers Follies, Hands on a Hardbody) and Socha (Fun Home Off-Broadway),  co-star as father and daughter in the production.

The cast also features , , , , , , , , , Darien Crago, Steve Czarnecki, Nicolas Davila, , , , , , Jenny Laroche, Melissa Hunter McCann, Harris Milgrim, , , , Jason Simon, , and .

Paint Your Wagon, according to Encores!, is "a rousing 1951 musical about a dreaming gold prospector (Carradine) whose daughter (Socha) finds gold鈥攁nd love鈥攃hanging their lives forever."

The musical, which preceded Lerner and Loewe's My Fair Lady and Camelot, opened on Broadway Nov. 12, 1951 and ran for 289 performances. Songs include "They Call the Wind Maria," "I Talk to the Trees" and "Wand'rin' Star."
