The show 鈥� a contemporary reimagining of 's gothic novel "The Phantom of the Opera," set in the sexy and cutthroat world of the modern-day music business 鈥� will be executive produced by Marc Cherry and Sabrina Wind and their Cherry/Wind Productions.
The show will not be a musical series, but it will have musical elements 脿 la ABC's "Nashville."
Zachary and Weiner's First Date will have its international premiere in Tokyo this fall, followed by productions around the world. Their latest Broadway-aimed musical Secondhand Lions had its world premiere at Seattle's last year and is being produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.
The team is also writing a stage musical based on the feature "17 Again."
