Watch a sneak peek of ABC鈥檚 TV adapation of Dirty Dancing, featuring choreography by Hamilton Tony winner Andy Blankenbuehler. Blankenbuehler also received a Best Choreography Tony nomination this year for his work on the new musical Bandstand.
In the clip above, Johnny (played by Colt Prattes) and Penny (Olivier nominee Nicole Scherzinger) show off their moves at Kellerman's resort in the Catskills Mountains. The TV movie, based on the 1987 film of the same name, will premiere May 24 at 8 PM ET.
The Dirty Dancing cast also features Abigail Breslin as Baby, Debra Messing as Marjorie Houseman, Bruce Greenwood as Dr. Jake Houseman, Sarah Hyland as Lisa Houseman, Tony Roberts as Max Kellerman, Trevor Einhorn as Neil, Shane Harper as Robbie Gould, J. Quinton Johnson as Marco, Beau 鈥淐asper鈥� Smart as Billy, Katey Sagal as Vivian Pressman, and Billy Dee Williams as Tito.
Jessica Sharzer penned the teleplay. Wayne Blair directs.
