The show, which traces the story of how Judy, nee Frances Gumm, made her way from her small-town home to play the role of Dorothy in the classic film musical 鈥淭he Wizard of Oz,鈥� is scheduled for Sept. 16鈥揘ov. 27, 2016. Conceived by Tina Marie Casamento, the show will have a book by Mark Acito (). David Libby will adapt the music, which will include "I Can't Give You Anything But Love," "You Made Me Love You" and "Over the Rainbow.鈥�

Also announced for the Goodspeed Musicals 2016 season:
's classic musical comedy Anything Goes, which will run April 8鈥揓une 16; and Strouse & Adams鈥� , scheduled for June 24鈥揝ept. 4.
For the first time this year, Goodspeed will sell season tickets that include both the mainstage in East Haddam, CT, and the smaller Theatre in Chester, CT.

The rarely-seen / musical The Roar of the Greasepaint 鈥� The Smell of the Crowd will run May 19鈥揓une 26, and a new musical A Sign of the Times featuring the songs made famous by British singer 鈥渁nd other hit-makers of the day鈥� July 28鈥揝ept. 4. The show has an original story by Richard Robin and an original book by comedy writer .
The five-show season subscriptions start at $196. Other options include a season ticket for all three shows at The Goodspeed - starting at $108, or a season ticket for both shows at The Terris Theatre for $88.
