News Jason Robert Brown Will Hail "Master Storyteller" Sondheim at Arden Fundraiser Tonight; Composer Will Attend Arden Theatre Company will present Tony-winning composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim with the first Master Storyteller Award. Sondheim will be present to accept the award June 1 at a fundraising event that benefits the Arden鈥檚 educational and outreach programs.

Composer Jason Robert Brown will present the award to Sondheim. Rob McClure, star of Brown's recent Broadway musical Honeymoon in Vegas, is among Broadway and local stars scheduled to perform.

The event, held in the Arden鈥檚 F. Otto Haas Stage at 40 N. 2nd Street, Philadelphia, will celebrate the work and music of Sondheim.

Performers are currently scheduled to include Tony Braithwaite, , Rich Ceraulo, Jen Childs, Jeff Coon, Ben Dibble, Krissy Fraelich, Todd Horman, Alex Keiper, , Larry Lees, Mary Martello, Ben Michael, Chris Mullen, James Sugg and Rob Tucker as well as Rachel Camp, , Caroline Dooner and Robi Hager. The artists will be backed by a 12-piece orchestra.

The Arden Theatre Company鈥檚 productions of Stephen Sondheim鈥檚 works include A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (2006), A Little Night Music (1995 & 2013), Assassins (2008), Company (1997), Into the Woods (2000), Merrily We Roll Along (1998), Pacific Overtures (2003), Passion (May 2015), Sunday in the Park with George (1994 & 2010), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (1993 & 2005). In the fall of 2008, they produced the Royal National Theatre鈥檚 version of Candide, with additional lyrics by Sondheim.
