Original Jersey Boys star Michael Longoria will release his solo album on the Broadway Records label May 6 titled Broadway Brick By Brick. Through a selection of musical theatre favorites, including 鈥淢aria鈥� from West Side Story and 鈥淗ome鈥� from The Wiz, the album chronicles Longoria鈥檚 journey from Los Angeles to the Broadway stage.
鈥淚 didn鈥檛 dare look back as I turned to walk down a long hallway at Los Angeles International Airport to board a plane headed for New York City,鈥� said Longoria in a statement. 鈥淚 kept telling myself to keep walking as tears streamed down my face, knowing that it was time to go find myself in the Big Apple. It feels like a lifetime since I was that kid, claiming his destiny, boarding pass in hand. I wanted to tell that story... how a little mariachi boy chased the impossible dream and found a home onstage in New York City.鈥�
