鈥淚 love this play鈥攁nd the chance to hear glorious, rising talent bring it to life is thrilling,鈥 said Gleason in an earlier statement. 鈥淚鈥檓 so happy to be reuniting with Phylicia, who brings such fierce intelligence, heart, and humor to every role.鈥
Inspired by real master classes that Callas gave at the Juilliard School in the 1970s, the original Broadway production starred Zoe Caldwell as the legendary opera singer.
