Little Red Theatre will present an industry reading of the new musical Fixing Frankie April 17 at ART/New York Rehearsal Studios. The invitation-only event will be directed by Michael Blatt and Joe Langworth, and presented in association with Rochele Seskin.
Fixing Frankie is conceived by Langworth and Steve Marzullo, with a book and lyrics by Langworth and music by Marzullo. The work follows young Frankie Scordato, who wrestles with sexuality, faith, and approval in the endearing chaos of an Italian-American household. Searching for self-acceptance, Frankie escapes to New York City in the 1980s.
The cast will include Ryan Alvarado as Eduardo, Andrea Bianchi as Mom, Greyson Chapman as Young Frankie, Felicia Finley as Patti/Sister Agatha, Laura Pavles as Margaret, George Psomas as Frankie, Steven Scionti as Dad, and Joe Verga as Lucas.
Meg Rosenberg will be the production stage manager, and stage directions will be read by Lia-Shea Tillett.
