The Brooklyn Academy of Music is screening the filmed version of Julie Taymor鈥檚 acclaimed staging of A Midsummer Night鈥檚 Dream August 6. The production, starring Kathryn Hunter, David Harewood, Tina Benko and Max Casella, was staged at Theatre for a New Audience鈥檚 Polonsky Shakespeare Center in 2013.
The screening is at 2 PM in the Peter Jay Sharp Building BAM Rose Cinemas. The film features cinematography by Rodrigo Prieto (Argo, Frida) and music by Academy Award-winning composer Elliot Goldenthal.
