News Kate Baldwin and Georgia Stitt Reunite Tonight for Song Cycle About Women Alone in NYC Soprano Kate Baldwin, violinist Victoria Paterson and composer Georgia Stitt reunite March 9 at SubCulture to perform Alphabet City Cycle, a song cycle with lyrics by Marcy Heisler about women alone in New York City.

Originally recorded in 2009, Alphabet City Cycle consists of five songs. Show time is 8 PM.

Also on the evening's program are the world premiere of two songs Stitt composed for soprano ; performances by and Andr茅a Burns of song settings of poems by Christina Rossetti, , , Shakespeare and Henry William Hutchinson; and a song Stitt wrote with poet Howard Schwartz for her wedding to composer .

David Schmidt performs the very first two art songs Stitt ever wrote (with texts by William Blake and William Wordsworth), and Stitt plays piano for the evening alongside violinist Paterson and cellist Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf.

Stitt is a composer/lyricist and a music producer. Her work includes The Danger Year, Big Red Sun (NAMT, Arlen Award with John Jiler), Samantha Spade: Ace Detective (commissioned by TADA! with Lisa Diana Shapiro), The Water (with Jeff Hylton and Tim Werenko) and Mosaic (with ), and she is at work on a new project with director at .
