The Kate Baldwin & Friends series will be offered at the downtown venue Feb. 28 at 7:30 PM and March 21 at 7:30 PM.
The February performance, entitled Welcome to My Party: Kate Baldwin & Friends Sing the Songs of Michael John LaChiusa, will feature musical direction by , who will lead a five-piece band. Guest vocalists will include , and . Erin Ortman directs.
The March evening, entitled The Girl Who Stayed: Kate Baldwin & Friends Sing the Songs of Will Van Dyke, will also feature and . The vocalists will be joined and led by Van Dyke and backed by his band, The Whiskey 5. directs.
Baldwin has also appeared in the Broadway productions of , , and ; the Off-Broadway productions of Songbird, Jon and Jen (Drama Desk nomination) and Giant (Drama Desk nomination); as well as in concerts with the New York Pops, Encores! and the American Songbook series at Lincoln Center.
