Broadway News Lin-Manuel Miranda Will Celebrate Hamilton's 10th Anniversary With Free Screening Series at United Palace

The screenings will be followed by interviews between Miranda and Ren茅e Elise Goldsberry, Ariana DeBose, and Leslie Odom, Jr.

To celebrate the 10th Broadway anniversary of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Hamilton, the United Palace in Washington Heights will present a free series of recent films starring original Hamilton cast members.

Each screening will be followed by a conversation between Hamilton creator and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast member featured in the film.

The Movies at the United Palace with Lin-Manuel Miranda lineup follows:

March 10: Satisfied (2024) with guest Ren茅e Elise Goldsberry
The documentary follows Goldsberry鈥檚 journey navigating motherhood and her Tony Award-winning role as Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton.

April 28: West Side Story (2021) with guest Ariana DeBose
Steven Spielberg鈥檚 adaptation of the classic 1957 musical co-starring Academy Award winner DeBose, an original Hamilton ensemble member, as Anita.

May 5: Details to be announced closer to event

June 2: One Night in Miami (2020) with guest Leslie Odom, Jr.
A fictionalized account of a real meeting in 1964 between Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke, portrayed by Odom Jr., the Tony-winning originator of the role of Aaron Burr in Hamilton.

September 7: Details to be announced closer to event

Hamilton鈥攚ith a book and score by Miranda鈥攅xplores the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. Inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow, the musical incorporates historical figures such as George Washington, Aaron Burr, James Madison, and Thomas Jefferson. Hamilton, which continues at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre, won 11 2016 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Seating for the upcoming series is general admission, on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 3,000 ticketed guests who show up on the day of the movie will be let in. Ticket does not guarantee admission.

Since free tickets to Miranda鈥檚 screenings usually 鈥渟ell鈥� out within minutes of their release, the United Palace is offering Movies at the Palace members the opportunity to reserve tickets ahead of the rush. Membership benefits are outlined .

The screenings are part of the United Palace鈥檚 year-long season of movies focused on the theme of community.

Miranda has supported Movies at the United Palace since 2013, when he helped the theatre鈥檚 fundraising campaign to purchase a new projector, screen, and surround sound system to return movies to the theatre after a 40-year hiatus.
