News Lindsay Mendez, Derek Klena, Telly Leung, Jenn Colella, James Snyder Join Lynne Shankel Tonight at 54 Below Shanktunes, a night of original songs by Drama Desk-nominated arranger/orchestrator Lynne Shankel, is held Oct. 2 at 54 Below.

Directed by (Altar Boyz, Carrie, Bare, Allegiance), guests include (Matilda), (, , High Fidelity), (Spider-Man, Bare), (, , Dogfight), (Heathers, Bare, ABC's "Rising Star"), (Allegiance, Godspell, Wicked, "Glee"), (Wicked, Dogfight, Godspell), (The Color Purple, ), (If/Then, Bring It On), (If/Then, ), (The Curious Incident鈥�, Matilda, Bare) and Noah Zachary (Dear Edwina, Poster Boy) as well as students from the Broadway Dreams Foundation. 

At the 11:30 PM concert, according to press notes, "Shankel will be joined onstage by some of New York's finest talent for a fun-filled set of her blend of pop, R&B, swing and musical theatre. Shanktunes will feature songs written for the 2012 Off-Broadway production of bare: the musical as well as premieres of brand new songs. The concert will feature lyrics by Shankel, Jon Hartmere and ."

Shankel (on piano) is joined by musicians Joe Mowatt (drums), Ben Campbell (bass) and Peter Calo (guitars).

Shankel is known as an arranger, orchestrator and music supervisor. She has written arrangements for dozens of artists including , , and , Telly Leung, Lindsay Mendez and Chester Gregory. Orchestrations/arrangements of shows include Altar Boyz, Allegiance, Bare, Beaches, Cry-Baby, Chasing The Song, The Memory Show, Once On This Island (Paper Mill), Summer Of '42 and Vanities.
