The complete cast is set for the upcoming Broadway bow of The Height of the Storm, starring the Jonathan Pryce and Eileen Atkins. The Manhattan Theatre Club presentation will begin September 10 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, with opening night set for September 24.
Joining the two Olivier winners will be Lucy Cohu, Amanda Drew, and James Hillier鈥攚ho, like Pryce and Atkins, reprise their performances from the play's London bow鈥攁s well as Lisa O'Hare (Broadway's A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder).
translates French playwright Florian Zeller's drama, just as he did for MTC's staging of The Father (and his additional plays The Mother and The Truth). The play concerns Andre虂 (Tony and Olivier winner Pryce) and Madeleine (Olivier winner Atkins), who have been in love for over 50 years. As their daughters visit, life's complexities begin to unravel around the family. Jonathan Kent directs.
