The film, which made its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September and its U.S. premiere at the Hamptons International Film Festival Oct. 9, will have its official opening in limited release throughout the U.S. Jan. 15, 2016.

Smith, a Tony winner for her performance in , and currently popular for playing the Dowager Countess in the TV series "Downton Abbey," plays Miss Mary Shepherd, "an eccentric woman of uncertain origins, who 'temporarily' parked her broken-down van in Bennett鈥檚 London driveway 鈥� and proceeded to live there for the next 15 years," according to a previous description.
The film casts as playwright Bennett with , , , and Jim Broadbent.
