New York stage actors Andrea Frierson and Chris Dilley will be guest singers at the September 10 edition of Russ Kaplan鈥檚 Broadway Jazz Session, the monthly concert series at Green Room 42 showcasing In Transit co-composer Kaplan鈥檚 jazz interpretations of current Broadway songs.
Guests for the 8 PM concert will be Frierson, the Star Search veteran who performs the solo musical salute to Ella Fitzgerald Me and Ella; and Dilley, who sings with Broadway Inspirational Voices as was featured in the Off-Broadway musical Voca People.
Upcoming fall Broadway Jazz Sessions will feature Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitte (Jerome Robbins鈥� Broadway, Chicago) on October 1, and Marva Hicks (Motown; Caroline, or Change) December 10.
Kaplan, his guests, and his eight-piece band will perform songs from shows new (Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton) and classic (Chicago, Hello, Dolly!). is co-creator of Broadway鈥檚 In Transit, the family musical Dear Albert Einstein, and the play with music High School Confidential.
