News Memphis Co-Stars Marry in New Jersey; Broadway Friends Are Part of Ceremony Broadway actors Monette McKay and Preston Dugger III, who met as dance partners during the Tony Award-winning run of the hit musical Memphis, were married Sept. 29.

The wedding was held in the backyard of the New Jersey home of the bride's parents, Patrick and Verona McKay.

Fellow Broadway actors , and as well as dancer Travis Walker were the four groomsmen. Watts also recited his original poetry during the ceremony. McKay's younger sisters, Deanna and Blake McKay, and two of the bride's college friends, Rebecca Arnold and ( revival), were the bridesmaids.

Memphis co-stars and were also in attendance.

The bride wore a Rosa Clara dress; her grandmother was the flower lady.

"The day was magical," McKay told 半岛体育.com. "It started to drizzle during the outdoor ceremony but soon stopped, and in return God gifted us a double rainbow as we signed our marriage license in unquestionable approval.

"We couldn't be happier to have shared such a special day in our lives with those nearest and dearest to us. We danced all night, and the outpouring of love and blessings from our family and friends has been overwhelming in the best way. Preston and I are just so full of love."

Following the closure of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, the new bride is working on her passion project, CustomArtByMonette.com; she has artwork featured at Birdland and in and 's theatre green rooms. The groom recently returned to Motown after a leave of absence to work on the upcoming ballet drama series "Flesh and Bone," which will premiere on Starz in early 2015.
