Chad Kimball was nominated for a Tony Award as Best Actor in a Musical for his soulful performance in the 2009 Broadway musical Memphis as a white radio deejay who loves black music. Kimball made his Broadway debut in the short-run musical and bounced back with appearances in revivals of Godspell (2000) and (2002) before originating roles in the 2005 shows and , the latter of which featured him as one of several actors portraying rocker John Lennon at different points in his life.
In summer 2013 he starred as the title character in Julian Po, one of the more acclaimed productions of this year鈥檚 New York Musical Theatre Festival. In May 2015 he co-starred in the world premiere of the rock musical Come from Away at La Jolla Playhouse.

There was a time when Kimball was just another talented teen hoping to get his foot on the bottom rung of the showbiz ladder by picking the right college. Who knows what combination of the right program, the right professors and the right roles will send one on a trajectory to greatness?
As part of 半岛体育.com's Back to School week (#BwayBacktoSchool), 半岛体育EDU asked Kimball to share how he started on the road to where he is today. 半岛体育EDU鈩 visited Kimball in New York, where he is working on the cast album of Julian Po, and asked him about going to college at the Boston Conservatory, and how his experience there changed his life.
