Rock band The Rescues are living life in stereo before their adaptation of Joel Schumacher's 1987 cult classic The Lost Boys arrives Broadway in 2026, with an all-star concert at the Gramercy Theatre planned for March 15.

The concert, which will feature some of the top hits from the band's acclaimed discography, will also debut a selection of new songs, including material from The Lost Boys. Tony winner Michael Arden, set to direct The Lost Boys on Broadway, will be present as a special guest alongside Olivier nominee Caissie Levy, who starred in a workshop of The Lost Boys last year. Additional special guests, whose identities have not yet been revealed, will also be present.

Featuring a book by David Hornsby and Chris Hoch, with music by The Rescues, The Lost Boys uses vampirism to explore the physical transformation, sexual awakening, and identity experimentation of a teenager's coming of age. When the brotherly duo of Michael and Sam move to the fictional town of Santa Carla, California with their working mother and eccentric grandfather, they inadvertently end up in the crosshairs of a group of teenage rebel vampires and adolescent vampire hunters.

With Arden (Parade) at the helm, the musical is set to open at Broadway's Palace Theatre in the spring of 2026, with dates to be announced. News on casting has not been announced. In a previous, invitation-only industry presentation, performers included Levy (Frozen) as Lucy Emerson, Casey Likes (Back to the Future) as Michael Emerson, Nathan Levy (Dear Evan Hansen) as Sam Emerson, and Lorna Courtney (& Juliet) as Star.

The supernatural horror-comedy film has developed a dedicated fan base in the years since its release, which helped to launch the careers of Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, and more. The original film won the award for Best Horror Film by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, and spawned a franchise that included two sequels and two comic book series. Additionally, The Lost Boys has inspired a number of subsequent youth culture vampire projects, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Vampire Diaries, and Twilight.
