News More Broadway Stars Crossover to TV as CBS Announces New Series CBS has announced its upcoming season's new shows, according to Deadline. The slate will feature a host of acclaimed Broadway stars, including Marcia Gay Harden, Dianne Wiest, Thomas Sadoski, Gary Sinise, Jane Lynch and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.

As reported on the entertainment platform, CBS will develop the new drama series "Limitless," based on the blockbuster film starring , who is also attached as executive producer for the project. Tony nominee Mastrantonio (, ) is among the cast.

"Glee" star Lynch, who starred in the Broadway revival of  as Miss Hannigan, will reportedly head the cast for the new comedy series "Angel From Hell," about a guardian angel who walks the fine line between being heavenly and crazy.

Wiest, who recently starred in the Off-Broadway production of Rasheeda Speaking, is set to lead the cast in a new family comedy series titled "Life in Pieces." Tony nominee Sadoski (Reasons to be Pretty, ), currently starring alongside Amanda Seyfried in the Off-Broadway world premiere of 's The Way We Get By, is also among the cast.

Tony winner Harden, whose Broadway credits include and Angels in America, has replaced original lead in the new medical drama "Code Black," written by Michael Seitzman. The new show is set in the busiest and most notorious ER in the U.S., where the expert team of staff faces daily struggles to protect their ideals and patients.

Tony nominee Sinise is set to star in the spinoff series "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders," which will focus on the division of the FBI dedicated to helping American citizens in danger abroad. They are the latest in a growing pool of stage stars making the move to do more television work, including , , , and , among others.
