National Theatre Live Screens Tim Price's Nye April 23

The National Theatre production of Tim Price's Nye, which is currently playing the Olivier, is screened in cinemas in the U.K. and Ireland April 23 via the National Theatre Live series.

The screening—featuring an audience made up of NHS charities, staff, and healthcare students attending free of charge—marks the 100th production featured in the series since its inception in 2009.

Michael Sheen plays Aneurin "Nye" Bevan in this journey through the life and legacy of the man who transformed Britain’s welfare state and created the NHS. Rufus Norris directs. A co-production between the National and Wales Millennium Centre, the drama plays the Olivier through May 11 before transferring to the Wales Millennium Centre May 18-June 1.

Nye will be available for screening worldwide May 7.

Since the first screening in 2009 of �ʳ�è��, the industry initiative has reached over 11 million people worldwide. National Theatre Live productions are regularly screened in over 2,000 venues across 65 countries.
