Jac Yarrow will make his professional stage debut when he stars in the title role of the London revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice鈥檚 Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium.
Directed by Laurence Connor (School of Rock, Miss Saigon), the 11-week limited engagement begins June 27 with an official opening July 11.
Yarrow will star alongside Jason Donovan (a former Joseph himself) and Sheridan Smith, who will play the Pharaoh and The Narrator, respectively.
The actor, who previously starred in a production of Disney鈥檚 Newsies at the Arts Educational School, said in a statement, 鈥淚 can鈥檛 quite believe it. Here I am, 21 years old, still at Drama School, and come June I鈥檒l be standing center stage at the prestigious London Palladium, singing the iconic music and lyrics of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. My dream came true.鈥�
The summer production will also have choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter, sets and costumes by Morgan Large, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Gareth Owen.
