The Broadway revival of Children of a Lesser God is hosting talkbacks featuring co-producer Nyle DiMarco and NPR host Celeste Headlee this week at Studio 54. DiMarco will join the cast immediately following the 7 PM performance May 15, while Headlee will moderate talkback sessions following the matinee and evening performances May 16.
Model, actor, and Deaf activist DiMarco is making his Broadway debut as a co-producer on the production that opened April 11. Children of a Lesser God recently set a May 27 closing date.
Tony Award winner () directs the first-ever revival of the play that explores the relationship between a teacher at a school for the Deaf, and Sarah, the young woman he meets there. The play, which challenges long-held misconceptions about Deaf culture and the essence of communication, won the 1980 Tony Award for Best Play.
