Off-Broadway News Off-Broadway's The Ally Extends Into April at The Public

The world premiere from Itamar Moses, about a liberal Jewish professor asked to sign a social justice manifesto, has audiences talking鈥攖his extension is its third.

The Public Theater's world premiere of Itamar MosesThe Ally has gotten another extension, with performances now slated to run through April 7. The run began February 15 and officially opened February 27鈥攔ead the reviews . This extension is the production's third.

Josh Radnor leads the cast as Asaf, a college professor who's thrown into conflict as a liberal, husband, academic, American, atheist, and Jewish person when he's asked to sign a social justice manifesto.

Also in the cast are Cherise Boothe as Nakia, Elijah Jones as Baron, Michael Khalid Karadsheh as Farid, Joy Osmanski as Gwen, Ben Rosenfield as Reuven, and Madeline Weinstein as Rachel. Casting is by Jordan Thaler and Kate Murray.

Directed by Lila Neugebauer, the production features scenic design by Lael Jellinek, costume design by Sarita Fellows, lighting design by Reza Behjat, sound design by Bray Poor, and prop management by Claire M. Kavanah. Roxana Khan serves as production stage manager, and Sarah Lunnie as dramaturg.
