News "Oklahoma!" Film, With Kristin Chenoweth Featurette, Heading Back to Cinemas The surrey with the fringe on top is coming your way: The film version of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma! will return to cinemas around the country beginning Nov. 1.

The award-winning film, the first time in wide release in 60 years, is fully restored and boasts an extended pre-show featurette with Tony-winning Oklahoma native singing songs from the classic musical.

The 1943 musical was the first collaboration of lyricist-librettist and composer . The score includes "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," "I Cain't Say No," "Out of My Dreams" and the title song. The 1955 film, which won two Academy Awards, starred , Gloria Grahame, , and .
