Frierson's evening, which is entitled me & ella, is described as "a musical journey back to the beginnings of a young singer enamored with , set against a backdrop of New York City in the 1960鈥檚." Show time is 9:30 PM. Written and performed by Frierson with musical arrangements and musical supervision by Ron Abel, the concert features direction by Murphy Cross and . Part memory play and part tribute, me & ella, press notes state, is "both a singer鈥檚 coming of age story, as well as a valentine to the First Lady of Song."
