The event, which is moderated by Richard Skipper, features Nicole Barth (original company), Paul Berne (replacement dancer: original company), and Johnny Beecher (Sheridan (Cornelius Hackl and Barnaby Tucker: international company), Wayne Clark (first national company with ), John Anthony Gilvey, (Author: "Before the Parade Passes By: and the Glorious American Musical"), David Hartman (Rudolph and stage manager: original company), Charles Karel (original company), Jan LaPrad (original company dancer), (Channing's last Mrs. Molloy), (Minnie Fay: original company), Joan "Buttons" Leonard (original company), Bob Lydiard (Barnaby Tucker: Channing's first Broadway revival), (Cornelius Hackl: 1977 tour and Broadway revival, director: 1996 Broadway tour and revival), Megan Thomas (Channing's last tour), Andrea Bell (Ermengarde in Channing's first national tour as well as other productions) and Ron Young (dancer original company).
The celebration also includes two performances of Herman on Herman!, starring Peggy Herman, at the Theatre, Jan. 18-19, and Tony winner Carol Channing, who starred on Broadway as Dolly Levi, at Town Hall Jan. 20.
Based on 's 1955 play , Hello, Dolly! features a book by and music and lyrics by Herman. Song titles include "Put On Your Sunday Clothes," "Before the Parade Passes By" and "It Only Takes a Moment." It opened on Broadway Jan. 16, 1964.
The original production received 10 Tony Awards, including Best Actress, Choreography, Direction and Best Musical. Hello, Dolly! has received three Broadway revivals and was adapted into a 1969 film.
