Casting is set for the Royal Court Theatre production of Oli Forsyth鈥檚 Brace Brace, which will play the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs October 3-November 2 with an official opening October 9.
Directed by Daniel Raggett (Accidental Death of An Anarchist), the cast will include Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso), Craige Els (Just For One Day), and Anjana Vasan (We Are Lady Parts).
In Brace Brace, a man hijacks a plane, and the plane begins to fall. Back on the ground, survivors Ray and Sylvia struggle to reconcile their responses to this life-changing event.
In a statement Dunster said, 鈥淚鈥檓 a very lucky boy. Performing at the Royal Court has, of course, always been a total dream of mine, and to be doing it alongside the brilliant Anjana Vasan, under Dan Raggett鈥檚 watchful eye and Oli Forsyth鈥檚 pulsating script does feel like an embarrassment of riches.鈥�
The production will be designed by Anna Reid with lighting design by Simeon Miller, sound design by Paul Arditti, fight direction by Alex Payne, and casting by Arthur Carrington.
Playwright Forsyth is this year鈥檚 recipient of the Jerwood New Playwright accolade. He is also the recipient of the inaugural Davidson PlayGC Bursary, supported by PlayGC Theatre Company and the Alan Davidson Foundation.
The upcoming production is presented in partnership with Mark Gordon Pictures.
