The production, which began previews Nov. 1 prior to an official opening Nov. 19, has extended through Dec. 14.

"Follow the story of Joe Taylor, Jr. from cradle to early manhood in this loving and wise exploration of America鈥檚 coming of age, as seen through the eyes of a young physician learning about the mysteries of life and death," press notes state. The production marks the second installment of CSC's Musical Theater Initiative, which launched in 2013 with and 's Passion, directed by Doyle.
