Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda is taking fans inside the room where it happened.
The composer-lyricist and actor has shared with 半岛体育 nine logo treatments for his Pulitzer Prize-winning Hamilton that were originally considered when the musical premiered nearly a decade ago.
Miranda, who also created the Tony-winning In the Heights, first posted the logos on , writing, "From the What-If Department: I鈥檒l never forget the @spotco meeting about our Hamilton artwork for Broadway, because I鈥檝e never had one before or since. Drew Hodges (who has since retired) walked us into a room with 40+ designs pinned to the wall and said, 'So we鈥檝e had all our artists create pitches. You know your show best. We want you to take a look at all of them and take down all all the posters that don鈥檛 feel to you like your show.' A half hour later, these nine finalists and the one you know well (which took another quantum leap with the silhouette pics of our company by @murphymade) were still on the wall."

Hamilton, the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton,
is directed by Thomas Kail and features choreography by Andy
Blankenbuehler, musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex
Lacamoire, and is based on Ron Chernow鈥檚 biography of Alexander
Hamilton.
With a book and score by Miranda, the musical also has scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, and hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe

Hamilton, which continues at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre, won 11 2016 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The musical officially opened August 6, 2015, following previews that began July 13. It is also the recipient of the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
