Burn This follows the troubled relationship between a restaurant owner, Pale (Driver), and a dancer named Anna (Russell), in the wake of a shared tragedy鈥攖he death of Pale鈥檚 brother and Anna鈥檚 roommate and dance partner.
The original production premiered Off-Broadway in 1987 starring John Malkovich as Pale and Joan Allen as Anna. The play transferred to Broadway that same year for a critically acclaimed run at the Plymouth Theatre, earning Allen a Tony Award for her performance.
The 2019 Broadway revival is produced by David Binder. The design team includes Natasha Katz (lights), Derek McLane (sets), Clint Ramos (costumes), and David Van Tieghem (sound design and original music). 101 Productions, Ltd is the general manager, and casting is by Jim Carnahan.
