The Changeling, directed by Red Bull artistic direct , will run Dec. 26, 2015 - Jan. 24, 2016, at the Theater in downtown Manhattan. An official opening night is set for Jan. 10. The 1622 jacobean tragedy was last seen on Broadway in 1964 and tells the story of a woman who enlists the help of her servant to kill her husband in the hopes of being with her lover.
Red Bull's second full production will be Sheridan's 1777 comedy, School for Scandal, helmed by . Performances will begin April 8, with an official opening night set for April 24 at the Lortel. In this popular show, revived on Broadway several times in the last century, the gossip, backstabbing and romantic scheming of London society are ruthlessly satirized.
The season will also feature a number of readings as part of the Revelation series, kicking off Nov. 16. They will include John Marston's The Malcontent, Cyril Tourneur's The Atheist鈥檚 Tragedy, 's Every Man in His Humour, Thomas Middleton's A Trick To Catch The Old One, Philip Massinger's The Roman Actor, Shakespeare's Coriolanus, Frances Burney's The Woman Hater, Shakespeare's Hamlet and William Congreve's The Way of the World.
The readings series is set to include actors (); (Irma Vep); (); Chukwudi Iwuji (Henry VI); (); (The Duchess of Malfi); (The Revenger鈥檚 Tragedy); ("Person of Interest"); Sam Tsoutsouvas (The Witch of Edmonton); and (); among others.
